Michelle Croft is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has been providing clinical psychotherapy services for nearly two decades. She is a registered Play Therapist and Play Therapist Supervisor. She values an integrative and wholistic approach to mental health, including exercise, nutrition, and an eclectic approach to methodology that allows her to create a comprehensive and customized mental wellness plan for each individual regardless of age. Michelle values individuality, identity and a collaborative effort with her clients for best outcomes.

Neurofeedback

A treatment that uses real-time brain activity to treat, heal, and change unwanted, harmful or unnecessary behaviors, addictions or thoughts.

Neurofeedback, a specific form of biofeedback, is designed to monitor, quantify, and train brain waves in real time in order to help individuals increase their ability to regulate brain function. This non-invasive and pain-free approach uses specialized program equipment to measure and record the brain’s electrical activity. The program uses sound and visual signals to reorganize and retrain these brain signals.

Neurofeedback therapists then work with this information to promote positive brain activity and/or identify and address any brain areas that may be experiencing dysregulation. A typical neurofeedback session lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, and sessions may be held two or three times each week, Neurofeedback therapists believe a regulated brain is more responsive to therapeutic intervention. As a result, neurofeedback has been used as a complementary therapy in the treatment of a number of concerns, such as: Post-traumatic stress, emotional issues, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, addiction, learning issues, ADHD, athletic performance, fatigue, and other sleep disorders.

BENEFITS: Identifying the information (or feedback) the brain needs to organize itself, allows the brain to release patterns that can get in the way of it functioning well. Brain training with no diagnosis, no prescription, and no side effects.

Marriage/Couples Counseling

Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family therapy offers families a way to develop and maintain a healthy functional family through the modality of improving personal relationships.

Special care is taken by Michelle to understand the identity of each individual and the dynamics of the group toward problem-solving. Each modality of therapy such as cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, or other types of therapy are chosen to meet the needs of the family

Couples counseling emphasizes awareness of self and others in the relationship.  Some typical areas of focus are gender identity, gender differences, language of connection, disconnection and re-connection to address impasses and improve mutuality. Typical areas of difficulty include autonomy obsession, dependence, depression and sexuality.

Couples or relational therapy is a form of counseling that aims to help partners resolve conflict, develop personal accountability, improve communication and foster improved intimacy in a relationship. 

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese term meaning universal life energy. This form of energy work along withIntuitive guidance and energy healing are techniques based on the principle that a practitioner has the ability to channel energy into the recipient by means of touch to activate the natural healing processes of the body towards the restoration of physical and emotional well-being. Reiki therapy decreases pain levels, helps speed healing and recovery, and relaxes the body and mind.

We offer Reiki in sessions of 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 75 minutes and 90 minutes.

Oracle Card Reading

Oracle Cards offer tools for self-reflection, similar to Tarot Cards. Each Oracle deck is unique, providing diverse messages of guidance. Katrina’s readings are completed through a combination of multiple decks that paint a picture of clarity for the receiver. Sessions include a brief chakra tune up.
